The Alternative Music Played by The Cure

The Cure first formed in 1976 and would continue for a few decades behind. Like Fleetwood Mac, The Cure would have seen some changes in their lineup, with only one remaining through the entire life of the band. The member who was with the band from the start, is is Robert Smith, the guitarist and main songwriter of the group. The major music genres that The Cure will focus on the post-punk, alternative rock, gothic rock and new wave. It is a veryVariation, many of them have enjoyed by listening to The Cure, both the past, present, and more than likely the future.

Despite the different genres of music they play, they become one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world in the 1990s and have sold millions of albums. In fact, done a count in 2004, expects that The Cure has sold around 27 million albums, since it was first established in 1976. During the duration of the band have always quick to sharenumerous albums. A view of the fact that The Cure has released a total of 12 albums and show 30 Singles over the last two years would be just about anyone that they constantly work on their music. Looking at the history of the band, one can see that they have passed through a series of phases where they focus more on one genre than any other, like their Gothic period in the early 1980s and the alternative rock phase, after 1990. However, it seems that according to theirChange alternative rock, they have continued to concentrate more on this particular genre, perhaps because it is the popular genre today. While many still enjoy the other genres, alternative rock is appealing to more of the population than the other genres.

From the time the band had been formed until 2008, The Cure successfully in the release of the 13 studio albums, which continue to sell, although none of all the original band remained, with the exception ofRobert Smith. The others are current members of the band Simon Gallup, with the band since 1979, although a break from the band in the early 1980s, Porl Thompson, with the band since 1976, and Jason Cooper, who is the newest member after the accession in 1995. In addition to the four current members, has seen the Cure eight other members come and go as Lol Tolhurst, Michael Dempsey, Perry Bamonte and Roger O'Donnell, to name a few. EachFind member had his own reasons for leaving the band, as a loss of interest or lack of other interests outside of The Cure. The change of the members do not appear to have slowed the healing much, if at all. Apart from the music that they have set over the decades out of service, they have completed and produced music videos for a few awards. They have been successful in the past thirty years, and they will probably continue to be successful until the time comes when the band. Dissolve
