Review - Stargate Atlantis Season 5 on DVD

Season Five of Stargate Atlantis includes a major story arc that began in Stargate SG1. The idea that the lost city of Atlantis, a story that has triggered the imagination of mankind for centuries, actually a town-ship and in another galaxy, there is a big one. The Greek philosopher Plato introduced and clad narrator of the story a fantastic island-city half-god/half-human citizens. Would it were true.

Last season began with the discovery and Atlantisresulted in bringing the ship's island home to Earth. It is one of the wonderful things about science fiction, the present as much fun - what could be. Atlantis is probably real ... it could be found somewhere in the universe. Humanity would have sown by being more developed. I like that the ancients were not perfect. The character of Daniel Jackson in Stargate SG1 had more interaction with them than most others and the authors of the exhibition, we want to see that even "superior" beingshave errors. Because certainly I know, are not errors in the real world perfectly ... ... and who they want to be?

Fifth Season also had a permanent change of command at the Atlantis control room. The character of Richard Woolsey appeared as a ladder. Robert Picardo, Woolsey being played, is a gifted and versatile actor. I loved his character portrayal of the Doctor on "Star Trek: Voyager". An actor playing a hologram, how to become a "real". A challenge met Picardowell.

When he first time in Stargate SG1 as International Oversight Committee rep Richard Woolsey, I was not like that character. Woolsey was a man of rules and regulations, and there were times when you were not sure he was a good guy or a bad guy. But time seemed to Woolsey in the fifth season of Stargate Atlantis, was known, appeared on which side of his bread the butter. He was not just a good guy, he turned out to be a good leader. Of course, everyone knows theStargate Atlantis and Stargate SG1 hardly needs an in-depth profile of this character.

The character of Captain James T. Kirk in the film industry, "Star Trek: The Final Frontier", a great line about flawed nature, he says, when invited to respond in order to have taken his pain with, "... Damn it, Bones, you're a doctor. You know that pain and guilt do not take off with a wave of a wand. These are the things we carry with us the things that make us who we are. If we losethem, we lose ourselves. I will not take my pain! I need my pain !..."

Of course, Stargate Atlantis Season Five wraps the shortcomings of the Wraith and Michael - the Wraith that would be --human and replicators [arc is another story, by about Stargate SG1]. We come to see how the character Tayla treated as a warrior-mother, and we receive a notice that the character of Ronan could finally find romance. All said and done everything, it is a satisfactory season.

So many goodSign, as a good season, it was a shame for you to see it pass. This is a fan who is unfortunately seen, concluded, but now look forward to the next spin-off show: Stargate Universe.
